With the exception of "Bam Bam" (recorded by Byron Lee in 1966), all of the material on this disc was recorded between 1968 and 1970. It includes rock-steady songs, as well as early reggae tracks. Recorded after a long break (due to Toots' imprisonment for Ganja possession), this is some of the best material the Maytals would release. Much of this material is also available on the 1969 album Sweet & Dandy.
